Travels with Chufy - BA

Sofia Sanchez de Betak came to Argentina to present her new book "Travels with Chufy". The event was held at the Malba Museum where she gave a brief talk continued by the signing of the book. Her family, Matilda Blanco (fashion critic) and the first lady, Juliana Awada, were among the few invited.

In early June the book was presented at Bergdorf Goodman, New York, along with a collection of Argentine inspired clothing. It continue in her other home, Paris at Colette and in Barcelona, and it finally arrived at Buenos Aires. If you want to know more about the collection, we previously published our review that you can read here.

In the book, she shares her most inspiring journeys. She has a lot of experience in travel since she comes from a traveling family, and over the years has been able to make different types of trips, both as a backpacker in the mountains and stays in modern skyscrapers. Although I haven't properly read it, I've been browsing it and I know I'm going to like it. The contrast between destination and destination is very striking. It goes from a metropolis to the desert followed by the coast passing by a picturesque village. The images manage to capture the essence of each city to perfection. There is a balanced number of landscapes and touristic photos that take you to each place. The destinations chosen by Chufy include Positano, Tokyo, Morocco, Garzon and some Argentine cities like Entre Rios, Mendoza and Patagonia.

Chufy is a very talented person, worldwide known for her work. Although she is more recognized by the fashion industry, it is very interesting to see that she moves from her comfort zome and embarks on her other passion, traveling. It was a pleasure to meet her and have a small talk since she is very nice. She even got very happy when I told her I had a blog. Imagine my emotions! And don't forget to look at her outfit: a transparent long skirt, a woven sweater and leather biker with black boots.

Bellow I leave you some images of the event and don't forget to take a look at my social networks where I will tell you more about the book as I read it. It will be a pleasure since it is dedicated to OrneLGA ... or La Guardia Airport.
