PFW February 2017
In the brands designer it was a mixture between couture and gypsy.
- Saint Laurent
Even thought Anthony Vaccarello is quite new to the brand, I see the inner YSL in it. That rock style that meets the 80´s in trends such as one shoulder and big ruffles. Sparkly clothes and boots were a highlight. But leather pieces were seen everywhere.
- Maison Margiela
The pink tulle dress is an absolute dream, but I want to mention the floral painted suit, something quite original considering it´s a fall collection.
- Dries Van Noten
Geometrical prints meet denim.
- Guy Laroche
Less is more? Well, pieces were minimalistic, few colors and straight lines.
Ohhhh, so feminine. The silhuettes are feminine, the fabrics are original, but the shoes are out of this world.
We all love HM! From what I read, so many things inspired this collection. From the 70´s trends to the Victoriana age and the Barrecor athleisure. The team even traveled to Cuba where the got inspired by a local ballet school.
La Collection Memento N°1 is a special capsule inspired by the archives from the 80´s.
And this is Clare Waight Keller last collection for the brand, very romantic, full of babydoll dresses and collars.
- Paco Rabanne
Metallics baby! Oh, and geometrical figures as well.
Sequins and leather. I believe they don´t go together, but it´s Balmain.
- Alexis Mabille
The Beauty and the Beast dress, the lace off the shoulder dress and the peace dove dress. An absolute dream.
Are we out of the woods? The collection included casual wear pieces (such as the denim jacket) and workwear inspired looks (the two piece suit).
- Isabel Marant
I guess this is the last hint I´ll get... Me and you both need to get a pair of studded jeans!
The fabrics juxtaposition is incredible. The variety of materials used is unccountable.
- Issey Miyake
The impact of monochromatic looks.
- Christian Dior
Maria Grazia Chiuri brought the classic french girl style with the berret hat. We could also see blue in each outfit. This season she insists with the corset tulle dresses as we´ve previously seen on the Couture show.
- Yohji Yamamoto
All black everything.
- Zuhair Murad
Why is this show always so perfect? Lace, macrame, and delicate floral embroidery.
- Acne Studios
A romantic, primitive and feminine collection.
Give me stars and 80´s nightlife.
- Elie Saab
We know the Elie Saab style, this season he introduced the floor length embroidered cape.
- Vivienne Westwood
It´s not about the clothes, but about what she transmits with them.
- Nina Ricci
A classic style, mixed with some artistic inspiration as we see in the face printed dress.
- Sonia Rykiel
Give some oversize here, and some ruffles there. Let´s mix some minimalism with the colors.
The collection was inspired by previous collections from the brand "wearing the clothes, inspires new clothes"
That men wardrobe.
Another great show by Pierpaolo Piccioli. I used to like his work alongside Maria Grazia Chiurri, but since she left, Valentino remains one of my favourite shows.
- John Galliano
Take me back to the books ages.
- Stella McCartney
- Giambatistta Valli
- Esteban Cortazar
- Alexander McQueen
- Agnes B
- Moncler Gamme Rouge
- Miu Miu
- Louis Vuitton
- Paul and Joe
