The Academy Awards is the most awaited Red Carpet, and I´m going to tell you that after the disastrous Grammys everybody was looking forward to the next show. 2017 seems to be a good year for the Oscars, almost everybody was looking good. I had many favourites, let me know your thoughts.

There are trends for red carpet. This season, velvet is coming back as seen on Brie Larson in Aquazzura and Taraji P. Henson in Alberta Ferretti.

There was another similarity between two stars: Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton and Emma Roberts in Vintage Armani.

Colors such as white, cream and beige are a big part of the red carpet, together with gold. Chrissy Teign in Zuhair Murad, while Nicole Kidman is in Armani. Karlie Kloss in Stella McCartney, Felicity Jones in Dior, Emma Stone in Givenchy and Jessica Biel in Kaufman Franco.

Hailee Steinfeld went for a floral number from Ralph and Russo, while Octavia Spencer opted for a silver Marchesa gown.

Kirsten Dunst keeps it simple in a total black Dior gown.

Some opt to wear black but mixing it with some silver, gold or some embroidery. Charlize Theron in Dior, Halle Berry in Versace and Janelle Monae in Elie Saab.

Other colors include red and blue, the former was seen on Ruth Negga in Valentino and Viola Davis in Armani Prive, and in the later we have Meryl Streep in Elie Saab.

And then came the After Party. A dress to impress was the aim of of Lily Collins who wore Elie Saab and Kate Beckinsale in Zuhair Murad.

Kate Bosworth felt like a Princess in this J, Mendel number.

And so did Hailee Steinfeld in Ralph and Russo and Leslie Mann who changed into a Carolina Herrera dress.

On the metallic side we have Amy Adams in Tom Ford and Jessica Biel in Ralph Lauren.

Miranda Kerr in Miu Miu and Nina Dobrev in Dior were the trendiest of the night. Also, Viola Davis innovated in a Brandon Maxwell suit and a pair of classic Stella McCartney shoes.
