Spring/Summer 2015 advertisements

When a new season comes, brands launch their new collections and the competition to catch your eye begins. There´s this time when clothes, photographers, landscapes, and effects are not enough, so in order to not loose this race, even celebrities are hired. It´s a competition nobody wants to loose.

Versace: no other than Madona is the new face of  Versace S/S 2015 campaign photographed by Mert & Marcus.
Givenchy: also Julia Roberts stars in the new campaign for Givenchy photographed by the duo Mert & Marcus too.

Balmain: to represent women diversity, models Adriana Lima, Joan Smalls, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Isabelli Fontana and Cristi Cober, were photographed by Mario Sorrenti for the woman collection. For him we´ve got the hottest couple of the season, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West... anything else Oliver?

Burberry: Jourdan Dunn and Noami Campbell, the British duo was photographed by the brands favourite, Mario Testino.

Marc Jacobs: A-list models, including Anna Ewers, Joan Smalls, Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, Natasha Polly, Issa Lish and Kendall Jenner (who made her debut runway walk for the brand) were styled on the same way and photographed by David Sims.

Salvatore Ferragamo: Daria Werbowy by Mert and Marcus.

Material Girl: with Zendaya modelling, the brand presented their new collection under the name of "Record Riot"
Michael Kors: Mario Testino photographed this summer campaign of model Karmen Pedaru.

Louis Vuitton: Freja Beha by Annie Leibovitz for her and Rhys Pickering by Peter Lindbergh for him.

Sonia Rykiel: as if one model wasn´t enough, the brand hired sisters Elizabeth and Georgia May Jagger, as the faces of this new collection shoot by Juergen Teller.

INC Macy's: 30th anniversary is a big deal, so to celebrate INC has Heidi Klum as it´s ambassador... You know, as I said, it´s a big deal.

Miu Miu and Prada: Steven Meisel was in charged of the photography of Marine Vacth for Miu Miu, as well as, for Prada, but in this case it Gemma Ward the model in front of the lens. And for the menswear collection, Craig McDean shoot Jack O´Connell, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort (pictured) and Ethan Hawke.

Gucci: Malgosia Bela (for her)  and Mathias Lauridsen were photographed by the power duo of Mert and Marcus

Chanel: Gisele (face of Chanel n5) photographed by Karl Lagerfeld in iconic locations of Paris.

Dior: Julia Nobis and Natalie Westling photographed by WillyVanderperre.

Ralph Lauren: Sanne Vloet and the camels by Bruce Weber.

Fendi: Lindsay Wixson by designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld.

Moschino: by Steven Meisel.

Blumarine: staring Catherine McNeil.

Saint Laurent: Joni Mitchel, 71 years old Canadian artist, poses Hedi Slimane.

Chloe: Caroline Trentini and Eniko Mihalik photographed by Inez & Vinoodh.

Calvin Klein: I think this ad is a recreation of their 90´s Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss ad and it´s well adapted to the present. modelling by Justin Bieber and Lara Stone.

Celine: Joan Didon the 80 years old writer is the star of the season, as she makes her fashion debut in a classic Celine advert by

Topshop: I will just say this is sooooo 70´s!!! modelling of Cara Delevingne.

Guess: just by seeing this jeans, I can guess the collection will be sold out faster than ever. Gigi Hadid by David Bellemere.

Matchless: Kate Moss.

Jason Wu: this ad staring Karlie Kloss and Jason Wu himself, reminds me of a first class editorial.

Stuart Weitzman: I´d love to say less is more, but... Gisele Bundchen by Mario Testino can´t be considered less.

Roberto Cavalli: with Nicky Minaj.

DKNY: Cara Delevingne trying to call us to tell us to buy this bra!

La Mer: with Olivia Palermo and husband Johannes Huebl

Dolce and Gabanna with the designers themselves (I hope they didn´t take the pic with autoshot)

Victoria´s Secret: the 2015 swim catalogue include models Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldrige, Lair Ribero, Andreea Diaconu and Nadine Leopold.

Stella McCartney for Adidas: Celebrating 10 years of collaborations.

And this is what we call a spring/summer 2015 advertising... be prepared because you´ll be seeing it for the next months in the streets and magazines.
Some conclusions I take are:
 - Fashion is for everybody, yes including over 70 years old (Saint Laurent and Celine)
 - Celebrities make a comeback, specially the well known ones ( Versace, Givenchy, Prada and Calvin Klein)
 - the 70´s are back! I bet my mom is gonna be smiling as a clown.
 - Mario Testino and Mert and Marcus are super busy.
 - Designers are not only designers anymore, some turn into photographers (Chanel) and others even model. (D&G and Jason Wu)
 - High street stores are also into good quality advertisements. (Topshop)
 - I need to go shopping...

What´s your opinion on this ads? Personally I´m obsessed with Guess, I literally want all of the items from this campaign to wear on the beach or on holidays... and also VS swimsuits, but that´s something I always want.

Have a lovely weekend! I´ll be including more ads if I see new worthy ones.
